Though Lucas “The Machine” Matthysse was a shell of himself when he lost a junior welterweight title in 2015 to Viktor Postol in a major upset. The powerful brawler from Argentina suffered an injury in that bout that kept him sidelined until 2017, when he moved up in weight and looked sharp, with a fifth-round KO of Emanuel Taylor. He will be facing the relatively unknown Tewa Kiram of Thailand in a night that should be easy work. This will almost surely set up a major fight for Matthysse.
